| Community Initiatives
Community Initiatives aim to foster agile, sustainable communities which understand that "connecting the dots" is a fundamental requirement for generating jobs, wealth, and innovation in the 21st century. CSW has worked with dozens of states and communities on major reinvention initatives to better connect economic, workforce and community development, and to create more vibrant, entrepreneurial economies. Our ongoing work in Michigan, North Carolina, and North Central Indiana, for example, goes beyond traditional approaches to workforce and economic development by supporting job growth and workforce strategies within struggling communities. CSW's Agile Communities EcoSystem Model creates a common starting point for stakeholders to understand the policy implications associated with the intersection of geography, industry, work, and culture. CSW has developed more than 50 State of the Workforce Reports that articulate the "so what?" and "now what?" in the chaos of data, information, and opinions about important workforce, economic, education, demographic, and quality of life issues. CSW's Community Innovation & Learning Networks are for senior-level professionals in government, education, human services, industry, and business. The networks promote dot-connecting, systems-thinking, scenario-building, and active learning and lesson sharing across the public and private sectors.
